Acrylic & Gel

Acrylic

Acrylic nails are a combination of a liquid monomer and a powder polymer. They create a hard protective layer over your natural nails and help conceal or fix broken, damaged or short nails. It also helps prevent people from biting their nails, further breakage of nails, and protect splits in your natural nail. They are most often used when people are not able to grow the length and strength of natural nails that they desire.

Acrylic nails are hard and very robust, last longer and provide a perfect canvas for applying nail colour. Once you have your chosen nail length and shape you can choose from a range of polish finishes, or try something different with some nail art!

Hard Gel Nails

Hard gel is similar to acrylic, except it cures in a UV light, however it’s important to note it’s not the same as shellac. You can extend the length of the nail with hard gel, just like acrylic. It can be sculpted and shaped just like acrylic. The only difference is that hard gel hardens through UV light rather than through evaporating solvents.
